[Adopter Hub](https://support.petszel.com/en-us/sheltersupport/adopter-hub?hsLang=en-us) # How do I view and edit a pet profile? ## Find a pet's details, edit its information, add photos, open it in your shelter software and view its documents. The pet profile is your main record for an adopted animal. Open it by clicking the pet's name, shown as Pet (Shelter Name), for example Percy (Tulip). You can also open it from the household or pet list on a pet parent's profile. | Section | What it shows | | --- | --- | | Header | Photos, name, species, and tags such as In Home, Returned and life stage | | Details | Animal ID, shelter name, species, breed, color, sex, birth date and age, microchip, weight, shelter and partner preference | | Documents | Medical and vaccine records and the adoption agreement | | Check-ins | Each pet parent, their start and end dates, and their survey check-ins | | Household | The current pet parent and other pets in the home | | Triage | Triage status with its date, and who it's assigned to | | Internal Notes | Staff-only notes, newest first | **Edit pet information** 1. Click **Edit** (pencil icon) at the top right of the details. 2. Update what changed, such as name, breed, color, sex and altered status, birth date, weight or microchip. 3. Click **Save**. Changes apply to Petszel only and don't update your shelter software. If the adopter renamed the pet, update **Name**; the original shelter name stays in parentheses. **Add a photo** 1. Click the **+** button next to the photos. 2. Choose an image from your computer. The newest photo shows largest. **Open the animal in your shelter software** The **Animal ID** is a link. Click it to open the animal's record in ShelterLuv, PetPoint or ShelterBuddy in a new tab, or click the copy icon to copy the ID. You'll need to be signed in to your shelter software. **View medical and vaccine documents** Scroll to **Documents** and click a document to download the PDF. The date shows when it came from your shelter software.
