Our goal is to make it easy for pet parents to learn about coverage and take next steps, while allowing shelters to continue working with the partners they already know and trust.

If your organization already has a preferred insurance partner, Petszel is designed to support that relationship seamlessly within our platform.

 

How Insurance Works in Petszel

Petszel integrates insurance into the adopter journey automatically in a way that feels natural and supportive. Pet parents may see insurance information shortly after adoption, along with educational content that helps them understand the value of coverage.

Depending on your configuration, adopters may be introduced to one option or multiple options over time. The experience is designed to be simple, informative, and easy to act on, without overwhelming the pet parent.

What This Means for Your Team

Petszel makes it easy for shelters and rescues to offer pet insurance to adopters, whether or not they have an existing insurance partner. Most organizations do not need to bring their own partner—Petszel already provides access to coverage options that can be included in the adopter experience automatically.

If your organization does have an existing insurance relationship, we can often support it and incorporate it into Petszel. However, this is optional and not required to get started.

Insurance functionality is built into Petszel by default and begins working automatically. It can also be configured or updated at any time based on your organization’s preferences. Because insurance includes licensing and compliance requirements that vary by provider and state, some setup details may differ, but Petszel manages this behind the scenes.
