When can we stop manual reporting?

Submit manual reports until automation is live, then send one final spreadsheet (include data for the go-live date). Petszel handles coordination and any overlap with Hill’s.

Short answer: Submit one final spreadsheet covering the period up to your go-live date — after that, automated reporting takes over.

Full answer:
After you sign up, your shelter will receive confirmation once automated reporting is live. Until you receive that confirmation, continue submitting reports manually as usual.

When you’re notified that automation is active:

  • Submit one last spreadsheet covering the time since your most recent upload up to your go-live date
  • After that, you can stop manual reporting

If both manual and automated reports overlap briefly, Hill’s will reconcile this — it will not jeopardize your benefits.

Petszel coordinates directly with Hill’s once reporting is live, so you don’t need to notify Hill’s separately or worry about being flagged for missing spreadsheets.
