Make sure your Abbreviated Name in Petszel matches your Short Name in Shelterluv. Learn more. ### The problem When you click a link from Petszel to an animal record in Shelterluv, you see a **404 (Page Not Found)** error instead of the animal's record. ### Why this happens Petszel builds each Shelterluv link using your organization's **abbreviation**. If the abbreviation saved in Petszel doesn't exactly match the one Shelterluv uses for your organization, the link points to a page that doesn't exist. ### How to fix it #### Step 1: Find your Shelterluv abbreviation 1. Log in to Shelterluv. 2. Open any animal record. 3. Look at the URL in your browser's address bar. It will look like this: `new.shelterluv.com/animal/XXX-A-169983` 4. The letters before **-A-** (shown here as **XXX**) are your Shelterluv abbreviation. **Example:** If the URL is `new.shelterluv.com/animal/HSV-A-169983`, your abbreviation is **HSV**. #### Step 2: Send your abbreviation to Petszel Support Email **[support@petszel.com](mailto:support@petszel.com)** with your abbreviation. You can copy and paste the message below: > **Subject:** Update Shelterluv abbreviation > > Hi Petszel Support, > > I'd like to update my organization's abbreviation in the Petszel system to fix Shelterluv link-outs. > > **Organization name:** \[Your shelter name\] > **Shelterluv abbreviation:** \[XXX\] > > Thank you! #### Step 3: Confirm the fix Once our team confirms the update, click a Shelterluv link from Petszel again.
