Why is my provider not showing up when I search for it in the dashboard?
Google Maps shows area when no exact business address exists.
Petszel pulls in providers with verified, exact locations from Google Maps. If a business doesn’t have a specific address listed in their Google Business Profile, we can’t map it accurately—so it won’t appear in search results for adopters. We do this to ensure only relevant, trustworthy, and local options are shown.
Common reasons your provider isn't showing up:

No exact address listed: The provider may have listed only a general service area instead of a street address.

Service area business: Mobile providers (like traveling groomers or dog trainers) often define a region they serve, which shows as a shaded area—not a pin—on Google Maps.

Hidden or incomplete Google profile: The business may have hidden their address for privacy or skipped adding it altogether.
How to fix it:
We recommend reaching out to the provider and asking them to update their Google Business Profile with a verified physical address. Read more about how to do that here. Once that’s done, we’ll be able to map them for adopters to find easily.
